Blue Monday Band

The Blue Monday Band is comprised of the best musicians, all members of the Central Mississippi Blues Society. Each of these artists is a regular in other bands and they have been coming together for years to put on a great show every Monday, hence their name.Led by guitarist Caleb Armstrong, Bernard Jones or Fred Robinson the band also features vocalists
Abdul Rasheed, Meredith Hairston and Dennis Fountain. All these vocalists serve-up great traditional blues as well as R&B and soul. The keyboard players are Kendrick Hart, Tony Blair or James Bell. The drummers are either Dwight Ross, Rick Lewis or Maya Kyles, all of whom have traveled nationally and internationally. Ben Sterling or Michael Bernard is the funky bass player and Malcolm Shepherd keeps the beat going on the congas. Some of these musicians were featured in the Last of the Mississippi Jukes documentary, and were regulars at the famous Subway Club in Jackson, Mississippi.
