Subway Revue
A big slice of history! The Subway Revue Band consists of musicians most of whom were regular performers at the legendary Subway Lounge in Jackson, Mississippi, which has its own Blues Trail marker. The band includes Lonn’e George, Pat Brown, Abdul Rasheed, London Moffett, Anthony Thomas, Rick Lewis, Josh Brown, James Evans, as well as Jimmy King, owner and manager of the Subway Lounge, as a vocalist.
All of the musicians that make up The Subway Revue were featured in the documentary Last of the Mississippi Jukes and six of them in the February-March 2012 issue of Big City Rhythm and Blues magazine.
