Blue Monday Band

The Blue Monday Band is comprised of the best musicians, all members of the Central Mississippi Blues Society. Each of these artists is a regular in other bands and they have been coming together for years to put on a great show every Monday, hence their name.Led by guitarist Lonn'e George or King Edward Antoine, the band also features (Miss Equal Opportunity,

Pat Brown, Abdul Rasheed (The House Rockers) and Dennis Fountain. All these vocalists serve-up great traditional blues as well as R&B and soul. The keyboard players are Kendrick Hart or James Bell. The drummers are either Dwight Ross, Rick Lewis or Christopher Minter, all of whom have traveled nationally and internationally. Keith Collins is the funky bass player and Malcolm Shepherd keeps the beat going on the congas. Most of these musicians were featured in the Last of the Mississippi Jukes documentary, and were regulars at the famous Subway Club in Jackson, Mississippi.

See the Blue Monday Band every Monday night at Hal and Mal’s in Jackson, Mississippi, also on festivals and at corporate events.
